The first time I mentioned creating electricity using the sun’s energy, my wife looked at me as if I had grown a third eye. So, you want to make your own solar power she asked? Yep, and that’s just what we proceeded to do. She asked lots of questions like, what’s a solar panel? The quick answer is that it’s a fairly simple project that converts solar energy into electricity. The actual construction of the panels include photovoltaic elements like silicon or cuprous oxide. But, this is getting far too technical. You really only need to locate some used or even slightly damaged solar panels to make your homemade energy generator.
